The Role
As a key member of our team the Restaurant Manager ensures the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant, focusing on front-of-house management and daily operations to deliver exceptional guest experiences. They are accountable for maintaining high standards of service, cleanliness, and ambiance, while handling financial management and collaborating with team members to develop standard operating procedures and ensure compliance with all regulations. The Restaurant Managers leadership, and commitment to high standards are critical to the success of the restaurant, and the role requires a proactive and adaptable individual who can thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and contribute positively to our team and overall guest experience.

The Role
As a key member of our team the Restaurant Manager ensures the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant, focusing on front-of-house management and daily operations to deliver exceptional guest experiences. They are accountable for maintaining high standards of service, cleanliness, and ambiance, while handling financial management and collaborating with team members to develop standard operating procedures and ensure compliance with all regulations. The Restaurant Managers leadership, and commitment to high standards are critical to the success of the restaurant, and the role requires a proactive and adaptable individual who can thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and contribute positively to our team and overall guest experience.
Your contributions to the team include:
- Provide excellent guest service at all times, ensuring a memorable dining experience.
- Anticipate guests’ needs and exceed their expectations, following up with guest feedback immediately to remedy any issues.
- Maintain the restaurant’s ambiance, cleanliness, and appearance before, during, and after service.
- Handle any staff or guest issues in a professional and diplomatic manner.
- Hire, train, and supervise all front-of-house staff.
- Schedule performance reviews and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet business needs.
- Develop junior staff to ensure progression and growth within the company.
- Ensure the restaurant operates within financial targets, monitoring inventory, cost controls, and pricing strategies.
- Participate in month-end inventory counts and account for any variances.
- Assist with promotional ideas and special events to attract and retain guests, increase sales, and enhance the restaurant's reputation.
- Ensure adherence to all local, provincial, and federal rules and regulations.
- Identify opportunities for business improvement and growth, strategizing with the team to increase profitability and guest satisfaction.
- Follow OH&S standards and resort policies to ensure a safe workspace, including adherence to grooming policies.
- Additional tasks and duties as assigned.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar position and leading a team.
- 4+ years’ progressive experience working in hospitality.
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a demanding, multi-cultural, and diverse environment within required deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- High level of organizational skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure with competing priorities and deadlines.
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to create and promote a fun working environment.
- Proficient in Silverware POS System.
- Serving It Right Certification.
